To create the client packager:

  1. Go to the <Server installation folder>\PCCSRV folder on the server and create a backup of the Ofcscan.ini file.
  2. Log on to the OSCE management console and follow these steps:
    1. Go to Networked Computers > Client Management.
    2. Select OfficeScan Server root.
    3. Go to Settings > Privileges and Other Settings > Privileges.
    4. Tick the "Enable roaming mode" checkbox.
    5. Go to Other Settings tab > Update Settings and then select the following options:
      • Client download updates from the Trend Micro Active Update Server
      • Enable Scheduled update
    6. Click Apply to All Clients to save the changes.
  3. Still on the management console, do the following:
    1. Go to Updates > Networked Computers > Update Source.
    2. Select "Always update from standard update Source (OfficeScan Server)" checkbox.
    3. Click Notify All Clients to save the changes.
  4. Restart the OfficeScan Master Service from the Services window.
  5. Create a client packager for the target computer and install it.

  6. Once you have installed the OfficeScan client on the target machine, set it to Roaming Mode by right-clicking on the client’s icon on the system tray and selecting Enable Roaming Mode.
  7. Copy the original/backup ofcscan.ini to the ..\PCCSRV folder to restore the settings.
  8. Restart the OfficeScan Master Service.

To create the client packager:

    2. Select OfficeScan Server root.

    5. Go to Other Settings tab > Update Settings and then select the following options:
      • OfficeScan agents download updates from the Trend Micro ActiveUpdate Server
      • Enable schedule-based updates on OfficeScan agents
    6. Click Apply to All Agents to save the changes.
  3. Still on the management console, do the following:
    1. Go to Updates > Agents > Update Source.
    2. Select "Standard update Source (OfficeScan Server)" checkbox.
    3. Click Notify All Agents to save the changes.
  4. Restart the OfficeScan Master Service from the Services window.
  5. Create a client packager for the target computer and install it.

  6. Once you have installed the OfficeScan agent on the target machine, set it to Roaming Mode by right-clicking on the agent's icon on the system tray and selecting Enable Roaming Mode.

  6. Once you have installed the OfficeScan agent on the target machine, set it to Independent Mode by right-clicking on the agent's icon on the system tray and selecting Enable Independent Mode.
  7. Copy the original/backup ofcscan.ini to the ..\PCCSRV folder to restore the settings.
  8. Restart the OfficeScan Master Service.
