To configure generic detection:

  1. Open the OfficeScan management console.
  2. Click Agents > Agent Management.
  3. Go to Client Management.
  4. Highlight the domain/group or specific client machine.
  5. Click Settings and choose one of the following Scan type:
    • Real-time Scan
    • Manual Scan
    • Scheduled Scan
    • Scan Now
  6. Go to Action tab.
  7. If you choose Use ActiveAction, enable the "Customize action for probable virus/malware" and then configure your preferred Action:
    • Quarantine
    • Rename
    • Delete
    • Deny Access

    If you choose "Use specific action for each virus/malware type", look for the Probable Virus/Malware then select the desired action.

  8. Click Save.
