To change the root password:
- Boot the system from the IWSVA installation CD.
- Choose “2. System Recovery”.
- Select the desired installation language.
- Press F12 to select the next screen.
- Press F12 to select the next screen.
- Select Continue.
- Select Continue.
- Select Continue.
- Take note of the command to change to the root environment. Press ESC to return to get to the shell.
- Type the command specified to get to the root directory. By default it is “chroot /mnt/sysimage”.
- Type “passwd”.
- Type the new password.
- Retype the new password to confirm.
- Type “exit” to leave the root directory. Type “exit” again to leave shell. It will automatically restart the IWSVA.
