To access Recovery Console using Repair CD:

  1. Log into the Recovery Console CD.
If the Device ID is editable, check the correct DeviceID from the PolicyServer.
  2. Click Recovery Console.
  3. In the left pane, click Decrypt Disk.
  4. Click Decrypt found on the bottom right. Wait until the decryption process completes.

After the decryption process completes, use the Restore Boot option in the Recovery Console to restore the machine to a previous state where FDE is not yet installed.

In this case, the drive has been decrypted and the master boot record has been restored. You can now make any repairs to the hard drive. After you log in to Windows, do the following:

  1. Run ArmorUninstall.exe to complete the removal process.
  2. After the uninstallation completes, you can then reinstall FDE.
