- Set up a Microsoft Exchange 2007 or Exchange 2010 server
- Identified a Windows 7/2003/2008 R2 (32-bit or 64-bit) computer/server that:
- is always connected to the Exchange server
- has Exchange Management Tools installed
Note: Exchange Connector can simultaneously connect to Exchange Server 2007 and Exchange Server 2010 from the same computer but requires appropriate versions of Exchange Management Tools installed.
- is part of the domain in order to access the Active Directory
- has access to the Internet using port 443
- has a 1GHz processor, with at least 1GB of memory, and 20MB of free disk space
- Logged on to the computer with an account that is a member of the following:
- Local Admin
- Exchange Organization Administrators (on Exchange 2007) or a member of Organization Management (on Exchange 2010)
- Disable Exchange ActiveSync mail access on the Exchange server for all users. This ensures that after you add all your users and the users enroll all their devices, only compliant devices can access email messages. Additionally, you can also track managed, unmanaged, compliant, and non-compliant devices from the Dashboard.
- Go to Administration > Exchange Server Integration. The Exchange Server Integration screen opens displaying the status and other details.
- On the Required section, click Download.
- Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the Exchange Connector.
