To solve this issue, add the googletalkplugin.exe file to the tmproxy approved list:

  1. Unload the OfficeScan client.
  2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\NSC\TmProxy\WhiteList\
  3. Create a new key and give it a name. For example: GoogleTalkPlugin
  4. Create a new string under the new key and name it "ProcessImageName".
  5. Set the value to googletalkplugin.exe.
  6. Click OK to save the changes.
  7. Reload the client, wait for all the services to load before testing.
