Consider the following reminders before the installation:
- Do not install FDE on endpoints with multiple hard disks. Multiple disk environments are not supported.
- RAID and SCSI disks are not supported.
- FDE does not support RAID and SCSI drives.
To install:
- Copy the installation package in you local hard drive.
- Run TMFDEInstall.exe.
If the User Account Control windows displays, click Yes to allow the installer to make changes to the Endpoint Encryption device.
- Wait for the installer to load.
The installation welcome screen should appear.
- Select Managed installation and then click Next.
The Managed Installation screen displays.
- Specify the PolicyServer information.
- At the Installation Complete screen, click Close.
- At the dialog box, click Yes to restart or shut down the endpoint.
The FDE installation is complete once Preboot displays. Disk encryption begins after Windows starts.
When FDE Preboot loads, you need to log in before gaining access to Windows. Depending on the policy configuration, you may be required to change the password after logging on the endpoint.
- Copy the installation package in your local hard drive.
- Run TMFDEInstall_BL.exe.
- Wait for the installer to load.
The installation welcome screen should appear.
- Specify the PolicyServer information.
- Click Install.
- Go to the system tray and click the icon to open the Encryption Managemen tfor Microsoft BitLocker agent.
- Run TMFDEInstall_FV.exe.
The Trend Micro FDE disk image appears.
- Double-click Trend Micro Full Disk Encryption.pkg to begin the installation.
The Encryption Management for Apple FileVault Setup Wizard appears to begin the File Encryption installation process.
- On the Welcome screen, click Continue.
The Installer checks that the system requirements are met.
- Click Install.
- Select the hard disk to install that agent.
- Specify the user name and password of an account with permission to install applications on the endpoint, and then click Install Agent.
The installation begins.
- Specify the PolicyServer information.
- Click Continue.
After a moment, the Encryption Management for Apple FileVault installation begins.
- After the installation completes, click Close to restart the endpoint.
The Encryption Management for Apple FileVault agent initiates immediately after the endpoint restarts.
- Go to the menu bar to open the Encryption Management for Apple FileVault agent.
- Run FileEncryptionIns.exe.
The File Encryption Setup Wizard appears.
- Click Next. If prompted by User Account Control, click Yes.
The File Encryption installer starts and automatically installs the agent.
- After the installation is completed, click Close.
- Click Yes to restart Windows.
The endpoint restarts and File Encryption is installed. Two File Encryption icons are displayed: one shortcut on the desktop and on the tray icon. After the desktop loads, it may take a few seconds for the agent to initiate.
- From the File Encryption Login screen, set the following parameters: Username, Password and Enterprise.
- Click OK.
