BEP protects users against attacks from malicious JavaScripts or applets that may be embedded in webpages that they are accessing.

BEP supports the following Internet Explorer (IE) versions: 6,7,8,9,10, and 11.

This feature is disabled by default in WFBS 9.0. To enable BEP:

  1. Log in to the WFBS Security Server console.
  2. Go to Security Settings.
  3. Choose either Server (defaults) or Desktop (defaults).
  4. Click Configure Settings.
  5. On the left pane, select Web Reputation.
  6. Tick the Block pages containing malicious scripts checkbox.
  7. Click Save.

The TM plug-in must be enabled on the browser in order for BEP to work. To enable TM plug-in in IE:

  1. Click Tools on the IE page.
  2. Select the Manage Add-ons.
  3. On the Name column, look for TmBpIeBHO Class under Trend Micro, Inc. and enable the plug-in.
