To add/configure MDM Security policies:

  1. Log in to the WFBS Security Server console.
  2. Go to Security Settings > Exchange Server > Configure Settings.

    The MDM Security Policy will not maintain the non-default policies that are added through the Exchange management console or Exchange Cmdlet. We suggest administrators manage Security Policies from one place, either only in MSA or Exchange.
  3. Go to Mobile Security > Security Policies > Add.

  4. Under Policy Details, provide a name for the policy and give a brief description for it.

  5. Under Apply to Accounts, select the Active Directory accounts for the policy.
    1. Type the username on the Search field.
    2. Choose whether you want to search for Active Directory (AD) users or groups by ticking Search in Users or Search in Groups.
    3. Click Search.
    4. Select the account(s) from the Available Accounts column and then click Add.

  6. Under Search Criteria, configure the following settings:
    • Minimum password length: Requires users to use passwords that are a minimum number of characters as specified by the administrator.
    • Minimum number of required character sets: Requires users to include a minimum number of different character sets in passwords.
    • Lock device after inactivity: Specify the amount of time a device is allowed to remain inactive before automatically locking the device.
    • Require encryption on device: Select to enforce Exchange encryption on the device.
    • Wipe device after unsuccessful sign-in: Specify the number of sign-in attempts allowed before wiping all data from the device storage.

  7. Click Save.
