To upgrade DELL iDRAC firmware to version 2.52.52.52:

Log on to the destination server's (DDI, DDEI or DDAN server) iDRAC console.
- Enter https://<iDRAC_IP>.
- The default username and password is root / calvin.

Go to Overview > Server > Properties > Summary and check the firmware version. If the version is older than 2.52.52.52, refer to the following steps to upgrade the firmware:

Download DELL iDRAC firmware from Dell's Product Support page: IDRAC with Lifecycle Controller V.,2.52.52.52.
Look for the filename iDRAC-with-Lifecycle-Controller_Firmware_74GHJ_WN64_2.52.52.52_A00.EXE.
- Go to the iDRAC console, Overview > iDRAC Settings > Update and Rollback > Update.
- Upload the downloaded file (iDRAC-with-Lifecycle-Controller_Firmware_74GHJ_WN64_2.52.52.52_A00.EXE) in step 1 and install it.
- After the upgrade is completed, log on to the iDRAC web console and go to Overview > Server > Properties > Summary to check the firmware version. It should now be 2.52.52.52.
If you do not want to upgrade the firmware but still want to use iDRAC, as a workaround, you can set iDRAC to only allow a dedicated IP to access it. Do the following:
- Open iDRAC console.
- Go to Overview > iDRAC Settings > Network.
- Click Advanced Settings.
- On the Network Security page, select IP Range Enable and set the IP info which will allow access to iDRAC.
- To apply the settings, click Apply.
