The Endpoint Encryption License Renewal tool connects to the Trend Micro Online Registration System to check the license status. During this process, Endpoint Encryption License Renewal tool sends the server's IP address to the Trend Micro Online Registration System.

The only way to prevent the transmission of the data back to Trend Micro servers is to not click the “Check License Status” button.
