Views:
  1. Log on to the Apex One server.
  2. Stop Apex One Services:
    • From Services:
      • Apex One Master Service
      • World Wide Web Publishing Services
      • Trend Micro Endpoint Sensor Service
    • From Application Pool:
      • Officescan_iATAS_AppPool
      • Officescan_iESConsole_AppPool

  3. Create a full backup of the MS SQL DB of the Apex One server.
     
  4. In the current SQL DB server, set the Apex One DB as offline by executing “Take Offline” under Task.
     
    Use sa to perform the task.

  5. In the new SQL DB, create a new database using the sa account.
     
    Note the instance and Database name. For this instance, the Database name is RDG-APEXONE and the instance name is REGAPEX.

  6. Copy the backup of the Apex One DB in the backup folder of your MS SQL Server 2016.

    In this example, the directory of MS SQL 2016 backup folder is shown in the image below:

  7. Restore the backup of Apex One DB to the new SQL DB server.

    Below is an image of when the backup was restored:

  8. Run the Apex One SQL Transfer on the Apex One Application server by going to <Server installation folder>\PCCSRV\Admin\Utility\SQL.

  9. Run SqlTxfr.exe as administrator.

    Apex One SQL Server Database Configuration will appear.

  10. Note the following information of Apex One SQL Server Database Configuration:
    • Server name of the new SQL DB server
    • SA Account in the new SQL DB server and its password
    • Database Name in the new SQL DB server
     
    Server Namenew SQL DB server and DB instance where the new Apex One DB was restored
    Authentication TypeSQL Server Account
    Usernamesa of the new SQL DB server
    PasswordPassword for sa account of the new SQL DB server
    Database Namecreated database name in the new SQL DB Server

  11. Click Test Connection to test the Apex One server connection to the new SQL Db server.
  12. Once completed, click Start to begin the migration of SQL DB Connection Settings.

    This will prompt to stop the Apex One services, as shown in the image below:

  13. Click Yes to proceed.

    Once completed, the Apex One Master Service in Apex One Server will start automatically.

  1. Log on to the Apex One server.
  2. Verify if Apex One Master Service is running in the services applet.
  3. Go to [Installation folder of Apex one]\Trend Micro\Apex One\PCCSRV\Private and open ofcserver.ini using an editor then look for the following info under DBServer and INI-DNE_ENGINE_SECTION:

    Server
    Database
    DBE_Engine

     
    1002 means SQL Server.

  4. Log on to the web console.

    You will see a prompt for Apex Central in the Dashboard.
