Depending on the region, Deep Discovery products come with a hardware warranty ranging from 1 year to 5 years. Your warranty coverage is aligned with your Trend Micro license period—from the License Start Date (LSD) to the License End Date (LED). The warranty can be extended for an additional cost, with a maximum hardware warranty of up to 5 years based on the license you purchased. (Dell is our hardware OEM vendor. You may find Dell's website showing an earlier warranty start date, but it is not your actual warranty coverage.)

Trend Micro only commits to support software upgrades to the latest versions for hardware appliances that have a hardware warranty within 5 years. Beyond 5 years, we cannot guarantee support for upgrades to the latest software version.

Trend Micro provides the hardware warranty and is responsible for both software and hardware support. You can always contact Trend Micro Technical Support for any issues. Once Trend Micro Technical Support receives a request, we will check if the warranty is valid and determine if the problem is related to software or hardware. If the issue is hardware-related, Trend Micro Technical Support might contact Dell or its authorized partners to resolve the hardware problem, which may include repair or parts replacement (varying by country depending on whether Dell provides Branded Service support in that country directly).
