The Endpoint Basecamp deployment script may fail when Application Control is enabled due to the following reasons:

If the enforcement is set to "Block unrecognized software until it is explicitly allowed".
This is an expected behavior to block the deployment script.

If the enforcement is set to "Block unrecognized software until it is explicitly allowed" and Maintenance mode is enabled.
We are aware of this issue and it is currently being worked on to get fixed. You may check the workaround below to be able to proceed with the installation.
Workaround
INSTALLATION

From either the policy or computer level, disable the Application Control before installing.
- From the Deep Security Console, go to Administration > System Settings > Trend Micro Vision One and under the Activity Data Forwarding, create a deployment script.
- Install the Endpoint BasecampAgent using the deployment script.
- Verify the installation is complete, you should now see this computer under Endpoint Inventory.
- Re-enable the Application Control from step 1.
VERIFCATION
To verify the agent can send Activity Data (telemetry log) do the following:
- Select a target computer and make sure to enable the Anti-malware module.
- SSH/RDP to the target computer.
- Download the EICAR test file on the virtual machine. The file should be quarantined.

On the DSM console, go to Events & Reports > Anti-Malware Events to verify the record of the malware detection.
If no events are showing, you need to wait for next heartbeat or click Get Events under Computer Properties. - Log in to the Trend Micro Vision One Console and open the Search App.
