  • Service Gateway file (.OVA)
  • A hypervisor that can open Open Virtual Appliance files such as Vmware Vsphere
  • A machine on the same network as the Service Gateway will be deployed.
  • Putty for remote SSH on the Service Gateway
  1. Open the Trend Micro Vision One Console, and go to Workflow and Automation > Service Gateway Management.

  2. Click the Download Virtual Appliance button, tick the I agree to the End User License Agreement option, and then click Download Disk Image.

  3. Open a hypervisor (Vmware Sphere on this demo) and deploy the .OVA file.

  4. Select Local File > choose the downloaded OVA file, and then click Next.

  5. Type the VM name of the Service Gateway and select its directory. Click Next.

  6. Select available computer resources, then click Next.

  7. Review the initial details, then click Next.

  8. Select the Storage Available, then click Next.

  9. Select the Network to be assigned on the Service Gateway, then click Next.

  10. Make a final review, then click Finish to start the deployment process.

  11. Verify if the Service Gateway VM had been created on the Destination similar to this image.

  1. Open the Trend Micro Vision One Console, and go to Workflow and Automation > Service Gateway Management.

  2. Download the Disk Image. Do the following:
    1. Click the Download Virtual Appliance button.
    2. Select Microsoft Hyper-V.
    3. Tick the I agree to the End User License Agreement option.
    4. Click Download Disk Image to the File.

  1. Access the Service Gateway directly and use the default credentials:
    • Login: admin
    • Password (Default): V1SG@2021
  2. Change the password as soon as you are able to login successfully to the CLI console.
  3. Type "Enable" to access administrator commands, then type the following:
    1. configure network primary ipv4.static <interface name> <IP address in cidr format> <gateway> <dns>
      Example: configure network primary ipv4.static 123.456.789.111/24 123.123.123.123 222.222.222.222

    2. configure endpoint  <Name of Service Gateway>.
    3. After configuring the network, type "connect" to verify if it can reach out to Trend Micro Vision One Cloud Servers.

    4. Copy the registration Token and proceed and paste it to putty to register the Service Gateway.

    5. Open Putty on a machine that is on the same network as the Service Gateway, and perform SSH Shell to register Service Gateway to Trend Micro Vision One Console. Login using the updated credentials > type "enable" > Type "register <Registration Token>".

    6. To verify, go back to Vison One Console and check the status of Service Gateway.
