Summary

Customer who have enabled Intrusion Prevention, Firewall or Web Reputation module for the Deep Security Agent would require reboot when enabled. There is a code change for Microsoft's UpdateFilters and its related dependency codes in Microsoft Windows 10 RS3.

This update from Microsoft reduces unnecessary filter rebinding operations during installation.

To enabled the new filter update logic, customer may need to configure the registry key below:

Registry Key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NDIS\Parameters
Name: FilterBindLogicMode
Type: DWORD 32bit
Value: 1

After adding the registry key, reboot the system for the changes to take effect. And then you can enable the modules with no network downtime.
