For Service Gateway redundancy, there are three options:
- Having multiple Service Gateways behind a load balancer should work as an option for to provide active redundancy.
- Using a hostname for the Service Gateways and then setting the DNS server to resolve to multiple IP addresses is an option. If the preference is set equally for each IP, the Service Gateway distribution will be in a round-robin arrangement. If the preferences values are different, the distribution will be in a failover process.
- In an XBC distribution, the agent Service Gateway selected is random from the list of the possible Service Gateways and fails over if that selected Service Gateways is no longer available.
