Users of ServerProtect for Microsoft Windows version 6.0 may encounter issues when attempting to delete TSC report logs and old files. This is due to the current design of the product, which adds infection information to a .dbf file when a virus is detected. Before appending the log, the product checks the size of the log and copies the log db file for backup if it is over 10M (in default).
The product then deletes all the records in the log db file, but note that the 'delete' action only sets the status of records to 'deleted', and the records are not deleted physically. A thread is then notified to delete the records physically and waits until the logs are deleted physically successfully, or it waits for just 5 minutes at most. Finally, the logs are added to the log db file.
It is normal for there to be a lot of log .dbf files under the log folder, and all of them should be less than 10M. Additionally, the purge function on MC still cannot delete backup log files.
