To migrate your Agents to the Trend Vision One Endpoint Security Protection your Trend Micro Apex One on-prem server need to be on the latest build version 12994 or higher.
  1. Open your Trend Micro Apex One Server.
  2. Go to Help > About.

  3. If your Trend Micro Apex One Server is not up to date please install the Updates:
Please follow the steps to create a Trend Vision One Account:
  1. Open the URL https://signin.v1.trendmicro.com.
  2. Click on Get set up now.

  3. Enter the Activation Code of your Trend Micro Apex One Server.

  4. Accept the Trend Micro Agreement.

  5. Enter your primary user account.

  6. Enter the password of the primary user account.

  7. Now the Trend Vision One will be activated.

  8. When the Activation Process is completed then you will see main page of Trend Vision One.

Follow these steps to create the Standard Endpoint Protection Instance:
  1. Go to Service Management > Product Instance.
  2. Click Create Product Instance.

  3. Choose Instance Type Standard Endpoint Protection.

  4. Fill out the required fields for Display name and Region.

  5. After clicking Save you will see the Provisioning Progress which take couple of minutes to be completed.

  6. When the Provisioning is completed then the Status is changing to Connected.

Follow these steps to export the Settings and Policies of your Trend Micro Apex One On-Prem Server:
  1. Go to Endpoint Security > Standard Endpoint Protection.

  2. Go to Directories > Product Servers.

  3. Click on the URL: https://xxxxx.manage.trendmicro.com:433/officescan/.

  4. Go to Administration > Settings > Server Migration.

  5. Click there on the link Download Apex One Settings Export Tool.

  6. Extract the File ApexOneSettingsExportTool.zip on your Apex One OnPrem Server and open the application ApexOneSettingsExportTool.exe.

  7. After running the tool, there will be 3 new files generated:
    • ApexOne_Agent_DLP_Policies.zip
    • ApexOne_Agent_Policies.zip
    • Server_Settings_Migration.zip

Follow these steps to import the Settings and Policies into Trend Vision One Standard Endpoint Protection:
  1. Go to Endpoint Security > Standard Endpoint Protection.

  2. Go to Policies and choose the Product Apex One Security Agent.
  3. Click Import Settings and import ApexOne_Agent_Policies.zip.

  4. The Settings for Trend Micro Apex One Security Agent is imported. Click on the Policy.

  5. Specify the Targets and click Save.

  6. In Policies choose the Product Apex One Data Loss Prevention.
  7. Then click Import Settings and import ApexOne_Agent_DLP_Policies.zip.

  8. The Settings for Trend Micro Apex One Data Loss Prevention is imported. Click on the Policy.

  9. Specify the Targets and Save.

  10. Go to Directories > Product Servers.

  11. Copy the highlighted path of URL https://xxxxx.manage.trendmicro.com:433/officescan/ as needed for later steps.
  12. Click on the URL https://xxxxx.manage.trendmicro.com:433/officescan/.

  13. Go to Administration > Settings > Server Migration.

  14. Click on Import Settings ... and import the file Server_Settings_Migration.zip.

  15. You need to confirm the Import.

  16. After the Import you will get a confirmation that the Import was successful.

Follow the steps to move the Agents from Apex One OnPrem Server to Trend Vision One Endpoint Security Protection:
  1. Login to your Apex One OnPrem Server and go to Agents > Agent Management.

  2. Mark the machines which you want to move.
  3. Right-click to open the context menu and go to Manage Agent Tree > Move Agent.

  4. Choose "Move selected agent(s) to another Apex One server
  5. In Apex One Server name or IP address paste in the address which you copied from Step 5.11.

  6. After you clicked on Move you need to confirm the Move again.

  7. Then the Apex One OnPrem Server will be notified.

  8. When the move is completed you will see the agents in the Endpoint Inventory and Standard Endpoint Protection.
