Summary

Trend Micro has received several reports of Deep Security Anti-Malware Agents going offline and other performance issues in agentless protection environments that have recently upgraded VMware Tools to version 10.x.

The following are the sample symptoms that affected customers may experience after upgrading to VMware Tools 10.x:

• Very slow logon to and from servers occurs via RDP. A black screen during logon/logoff occurs for more than a minute.
• Agentless protection shows as offline on all Server 2003 R2 SP2 servers.
• Publishing of workflows on SharePoint 2013 servers is extremely slow, from three (3) seconds to three (3) minutes.
• Exchange database cluster failover after disabling AV-protection for one node in Deep Security Manager.
• Applications that were started from a network share are no longer functional.
