The following are situations where you may need to use the SCUT for WFBS/WFBS-SVC:

  • The WFBS/WFBS-SVC agent is corrupted and cannot be removed completely through the normal removal process.
  • You forgot the uninstall password for the WFBS/WFBS-SVC agent.
  • The agent lost the managing server and cannot be removed without a password.
  • You want to remove the old agent version and install the new agent version using a Command Line Tool.
  • The agent cannot upgrade, and you want to replace it with a new version using a Command Line Tool.

Perform the following steps to download SCUT:

  1. Log in to the Business Support Portal using your account credentials to access SCUT.

Perform the following steps to uninstall the WFBS/WFBS-SVC Security Agent using SCUT:

  1. Open the Command prompt preferably with administrative privileges.
  2. Run SCUT.exe with one of the following arguments:
    • "-noinstall" for silent removal, or
    • "-noinstall -dbg" to show the running procedures

    For example:

    SCUT.exe –noinstall
    SCUT.exe -noinstall -dbg

  3. This will remove/clean up the existing agent installed on the machine. If any component remains after the first attempt, reboot the PC and run SCUT again to clean it.
  4. If you are using Windows PowerShell, proceed to running the command as it is. Adding the “start” cmdlet would show the following error:
