Summary
Starting January 2024, Trend Micro Deep Security and Cloud One - Workload Security Agent 20 will update to use revision version 20.0.1. The following legacy operating systems will have limited support as these have all reached their corresponding end-of-support (EOS) dates.
DSA 20.0.1 will not support nor provide new update releases for the above-listed platforms. The above-listed platforms will continue to have Anti-malware patterns, Intrusion Prevention, Integrity Monitoring, and Log Inspection rule updates provided using the DSA 20.0.0.#### agents until the end of extended support on December 31, 2026. For support in the Japan region, see the region-specific policy. Released DSA 20.0.0 will still work on these operating systems. For Microsoft Windows Server 2008, we understand that there are still some important workload running on this operating system, and conditional hotfixes will be provided until 2024. Starting from 2025, conditional hotfixes will only be available for Windows Server 2008 on Azure. Conditional fix includes critical vulnerability and Trend Micro defined urgent and priority bug fix. Customers who request for a fix must have the Microsoft Extended Security Update license in order to apply the security patch that enables ACS support (refer to the minimum Windows version requirement ). However, there is a risk that customers may encounter an issue which cannot be fixed by Trend Micro. At this point, the support team will work with the customer to offer acceptable alternatives.
Moving forward, the Deep Security Agent will be revised to limit the support of the operating systems that is EOS by the OS vendor for more than one year. This process will not impact the use of minimum version for KSP usage. The announcement of revision will be published six months before the revision happens.
For customers who are still using these operating systems with Deep Security or Cloud One - Workload Security agent, it is strongly recommended to upgrade these legacy operating systems to current one to maintain security from both the operating system and Deep Security or Cloud One Workload Security.
For Debian 8, customers will need to remove the old agent and install the DSA for Debian 9 package or newer.
For customers who are using Linux instances, in order to continue with the Linux Kernel Support in 2024, you need to upgrade the Deep Security Agent to version
20.0.0-8453 or newer.
For customers using the Deep Security Software, you need to upgrade the Deep Security Manager using the 20.0.883 Release or higher.
