Customers who are installing or upgrading to DSA version 20.0.0-7943 (20 LTS Update 2023-09-26) may encounter issues upgrading or activating the agent with the error message:

"Incompatible Agent/Appliance Version"

There are enhancements included in DSA version 20.0.0-7943, and there is a minimum Deep Security Manager (DSM) version requirement for the agent to work. The DSA requires that the DSM is on version 20.0.759 or above.

Starting DSA 20.0.0-7943, a new pattern named "Threat Behavior Tracing Pattern" is added for the Anti-Malware Behavior Monitoring feature. This new pattern is not recognized by older DSM builds. If the DSM version is not restricted to 20.0.759 or higher, the user may encounter either of the following issues when managing DSA 20.0.7943+:

• The DSM web console cannot display the  "Threat Behavior Tracing Pattern" correctly in the updates page.
• The DSM  web console may always show that the agent is "Out-of-Date".
