Apex One Endpoint Sensor needs SQL Server 2016 SP1 Full Version or later, which has the following features:
- Full-Text and Semantic Extractions for Search
- Data compression
- Table and index partitioning
SQL Express does note support Full-Text and Semantic Extractions for Search.
Apex One can be installed on SQL Server Express, but if the endpoint sensor to be used, the Apex One database has to be moved to a Full Version of SQL using SQL Transfer Tool.
There is no need to make changes to the existing SQL Server configuration as indicated features above are already running post SQL Server installation. To proceed with the installation of Apex One Endpoint Sensor, refer to Installing Apex One Endpoint Sensor after the user has installed Apex One.
