To perform a manual update on the Trend Micro Apex One server:

  1. Prepare a Trend Micro Apex One server with Internet access (connected to Trend Micro Active Update).
  2. Trigger a server update to ensure all components are downloaded and up to date.
  3. On the Internet-connected Trend Micro Apex One server, navigate to:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Trend Micro\Apex One\PCCSRV\Download
  4. Copy the following items:
    • Pattern folder
    • Engine folder
    • server.ini file
  5. On the air-gapped Trend Micro Apex One server, create a folder named “AU” and set it as a shared folder.
  6. Paste the copied Pattern folder, Engine folder, and server.ini file into the shared “AU” folder.
  7. Open the Apex One server console and go to Update > Server Update > Update Source.
  8. Set the update source to: \\127.0.0.1\AU
  9. Click Manual Update to verify that the server can perform the update successfully.
