To migrate the OfficeScan server without losing the Active Directory registration and settings:
- Stop the OfficeScan Master Service using the Control Panel.
- Back up the OfficeScan SQL database from the current OfficeScan server using the SQL Server Management Studio Tool.
- Start the OfficeScan Master Service.
- Recover the OfficeScan SQL database to the new dedicated SQL 2012 server.
- Back up the current server settings using the OfficeScan Server Migration Tool.
- Back up the C:\Program files\Auth Cert Backup Folder.
- Back up the certificates with the following command:
CertificateManager.exe –b "strongpassword" C:\Test\Trendmicro.zip
The "strongpasword" is the password for the output ZIP file. - Unregister the old OfficeScan server from the Active Directory.
- Shut down the old OfficeScan server.
- Deploy a fresh Windows 2012 server with the same network settings and hostname as previous one.
- Register the new Windows 2012 server to the Active Directory.
- Deploy IIS role and Message Queuing feature on the new server.
- Install a new OfficeScan 11.0 server on the Windows 2012 server. During the installation, recover the client certificates from the backup copy. For more information, refer to this article: Files to back up before upgrading, migrating, or uninstalling the OfficeScan server.
- Make sure to install all the patches similar to those on the original server.
- Recover the server settings using the server migration tool.
- Switch server to this database on the new Windows 2012 SQL Server using the SQLTxfr.exe tool located in ..\Admin\Utility\SQL folder.
