To migrate to a new server, do one of the following options:

Option 1: Using the same FQDN or IP address

  1. Export the current settings from the Security Server console.
  2. Back up the important WFBS files and folders. For a list of files to back up, refer to the article: Files to back up before upgrading WFBS.
  3. Open ..\PCCSRV\ofcscan.ini and take note of the following:
    • master_domainname
    • master_domainport
    • client_localserver_port
  4. Download the same version of WFBS on the new server and perform a custom installation using the information gathered on Step 3.
  5. Import the current settings to the new Security Server console.
  6. Do the following on the existing client computers to establish a connection to the new Security Server:
    1. Unload and reload the CSA or SA.
    2. Restart the computer.

Option 2: Using a different FQDN or IP address

  1. Export the current settings from the Security Server console.
  2. Back up the important WFBS files and folders. For a list of files to back up, refer to the article: Files to back up before upgrading WFBS.
  3. Download the same version of WFBS on the new server and proceed with the standard installation process.
  4. Import the current settings to the new Security Server console.
  5. Migrate the existing client computers to the new Security Server.
